Vidyut Jammwal’s latest photo announcing his Instagram debut is breaking the internet. And why not – after all, it is fuelled by veggies! That’s right, Vidyut is fuelled by veggies. The photo was taken by another PETA friend, photographer Haider Khan, who adopted an Indian dog named Buffels.

Vidyut has also starred in a pro-vegetarian campaign for PETA. Check it out! Veggies do a body good:

“I believe that everybody should be [vegetarian] because it has a lot of benefits”, says Vidyut. “Being a vegetarian keeps you very agile, keeps you on the toes and doesn’t make you feel lazy. I personally believe that being vegetarian is the way because I have felt the changes – I have seen myself evolve as a human being, mentally as well as physically.”

Vidyut can also be seen in his new film, Commando 2, alongside co-stars Esha Gupta and Adah Sharma, both of whom are vegetarian and PETA supporters, too. Woah!

Meat and other animal-based foods are high in cholesterol and saturated fat and have been linked to heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and several types of cancer. It’s much healthier – and kinder – to eat tasty cholesterol-free vegan foods. Every vegetarian saves the lives of many animals each year. And a United Nations report concluded that a global shift towards a vegan diet is necessary to combat the worst effects of climate change and other environmental problems.

Congratulations to all these lovely vegetarians on their film. And if you want to get fit like Vidyut – and help save animals and the Earth – order PETA’s free vegan starter kit!
