‘The Game Changers’ Smashes the Myth About Meat and Athletic Prowess
What do Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, tennis great Novak Djokovic, and NBA star Chris Paul have in common? They’re all on the team behind The Game Changers, the groundbreaking documentary premiering worldwide on Netflix on 16 October that shatters myths about meat, protein, and strength.
Directed by Oscar winner Louie Psihoyos (The Cove) and with a who’s who of executive producers that includes Academy Award winner James Cameron (Titanic) and Hollywood icon Arnold Schwarzenegger, the film features record-setting strongman Patrik Baboumian, , and a host of other elite athletes, who share how eating vegan foods optimises their health and keeps them at the top of their game.
Plant-based foods are a boon to athletes’ performance, endurance, and recovery – they’re rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and unlike animal-derived products, they’re high in fibre, cholesterol-free, and low in saturated fat. That keeps hearts strong and bodyweight down and reduces the risk of suffering from heart disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and obesity.

Athletes aren’t the only ones who benefit from going vegan. We can all improve our own health, save the lives of many animals, and reduce the degradation of the environment by making the switch.
That makes us all potential game changers.
