Each piece of animal skin echoes the suffering endured by countless animals sacrificed to produce clothing, leaving an indelible mark of cruelty. PETA India Director Poorva Joshipura implored French fashion house Hermès to ban the use of alligators, crocodiles, and other exotic animals for its leather bags and accessories, labeling these an “Accessory to Murder.”

Meat, egg, and dairy production heavily contribute to pollution, causing environmental damage, freshwater depletion, and greenhouse gas emissions surpassing that of global transportation. At the G20’s Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group meeting from 21 to 23 May, supporters of PETA India and the Aashray Foundation wearing inflatable dinosaur costumes urged the organisation to combat climate change by promoting veganism with the message: “Stop Eating to Extinction. Go Vegan!”

Save Hanuman’s Kin: End Captivity, Reinstate Protections for Rhesus Macaques
Rhesus macaques, symbolic of Lord Hanuman, should thrive in their natural habitat, not be forced to endure captivity. Following the removal of 50-year protections, supporters of PETA India, the Federation of International Animal Protection Organisations, and the Aashray Foundation donned giant monkey masks and rallied to urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reinstate safeguards against killing or capturing macaques for the experimentation, meat, or pet industries.

Children Rally in Prayagraj: Ban Animal Exploitation in Circuses
Animals used in circuses in India face chronic confinement, abuse, and psychological distress and are forced to perform through pain. Little Millennium schoolchildren adorned in animal masks joined other PETA India supporters in Prayagraj, urging a ban on animal circuses. They aimed to support PETA India’s call to the central government to end the use of animals in circuses, emphasizing the suffering they endure when coerced to perform.
