In the meat, egg, and dairy industries, billions of animals are raised in vast warehouses in severe confinement. As PETA India reveals in the video exposé “Glass Walls”, chickens killed for food are often shackled upside down before their throats are slit. Cows and buffaloes are crammed into vehicles in such large numbers that their bones often break before they’re dragged off to a slaughterhouse, and pigs are stabbed in the heart as they scream. On the decks of fishing boats, fish suffocate or are cut open while they’re still alive.

Eating Our Way to Extinction explains the connection between animal agriculture and the destruction of tropical rainforests, species extinction, pandemics, antibiotic resistance, and rising temperatures. The film shows how going vegan can help  to reverse the ecological damage and will leave viewers questioning their dietary choices.

By going vegan, each person can spare nearly 200 animals every year and help combat speciesism: a human-supremacist mentality that contributes to the death of billions of animals each year, the climate catastrophe, and the emergence of zoonotic diseases – including bird flu – linked to the rearing of animals for food.
