Racing for Animal Rights: PETA India at the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2024

Posted on by Erika Goyal

Four passionate PETA India staff members recently blazed a trail for animal liberation at this year’s iconic TCS World 10K Bengaluru. They were joined by seven dedicated supporters, who proudly sported PETA India charity bibs, and they all ran in the name of animal rights.

PETA India’s Ritesh, Chintan, Chiranjib, and Arunima raised Rs 88,080 for the group’s Emergency Response Team, helping animals in life-threatening situations by racking up the miles.

Responding to over 90,000 calls annually, the Emergency Response Team sprints to the aid of animals when no other organisation is able or willing to help, leveraging a robust network of dedicated agencies and individuals for support.

The 11 adrenaline-chasing animal advocates wore PETA Pack T-shirts, reminding the crowd of our shared responsibility to treat animals with compassion and respect.

The TCS World 10K Bengaluru is a celebration of the city’s vibrant running culture, and the weather was perfect for enjoying the sights along the way. It’s an unforgettable day! We applaud this event’s commitment to a greener future with initiatives like Zero Waste to Landfill and Plastic-Free Bibs.

Every step towards animal liberation counts. We were thrilled to meet several supporters who were eager to do more for animals. Their enthusiasm has already inspired our team to plan their next run.
