Honouring Vegan Visionaries: PETA India Teams up With Zouk for Vegan Creator Awards 2024

Veganism is not just a trend; it is a movement toward a kinder world. With more Indians opting for vegan choices over animal welfare concerns, compassion is officially in style. 63% of Indians are inclined to replace meat with plant-based alternatives.

For World Vegan Month this November, PETA India and “PETA-Approved Vegan” brand Zouk, awarded Best Vegan Wallets at the PETA India Fashion Awards 2021, joined forces to honour the individuals making compassionate living accessible to all. Held at One Aura in Andheri East, Mumbai, the third edition of Vegan Creators Day & Awards brought together inspiring creators, compassionate food, and engaging discussions on the future of veganism.

The event featured delectable vegan snacks, live music, and a thought-provoking panel discussion on “ The Role of Brands & Influencers in Promoting a Vegan Lifestyle,” with panellists like Amy Aela, actor, animal activist and plant-based entrepreneur; Vishwajeet Sangle, vegan international tennis player; Drishti, co-founder of Zouk; and Erika Goyal, Associate Director of Online Marketing at PETA India.

The evening culminated in a highly anticipated awards ceremony recognizing India’s leading vegan creators. Congratulations to the winners: Amy Aela, Vishwajeet Sangle, Neha Ranglani, Shreya Ghodawat, Vik Khatwani, Preiti Bhamra, Sudipta Pati and Mandira Popat.
