Stepping Up for Animals: PETA India Runs the Delhi Half Marathon

Posted on by Erika Goyal

A team of five passionate PETA India staff members recently took on the challenge of the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, raising an impressive Rs 19,450 with the help of committed PETA India supporters.

The team travelled on packed metro trains to the start line, joining hundreds of other runners for the 4.5km race.

Donning their PETA Pack T-shirts, our runners – Ritesh, Priyanka, Bindesh, Harsh, and Krishan – reminded the crowd that it’s everyone’s responsibility to help animals.

Although the run is over, the race for animal liberation is still powering ahead. You can give it mileage by donating today.

Priyanka, carrying PETA India’s mission with pride.

At just 10 years old, Priyanka began rescuing injured animals and nursing them back to health. Her commitment has since expanded to fostering and facilitating adoptions. She is particularly moved by the Emergency Rescue Team’s instrumental work, which aligns with her own mission to create a safer world for animals.

“I’ve always believed that awareness is key to change. Education and outreach are crucial in helping people see animals not as objects, but as living beings deserving of respect.” – Priyanka

Every step taken by the PETA India team brings us closer to a kinder, more compassionate world, and every cheer and supporter by our side strengthens our work for animals.

It’s not too late to make an impact! You can sponsor our runners and help fund PETA India’s important work by donating today.
