Online Marketing Coordinator

Position Objective:

To promote animal rights through People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India’s websites and social media channels

Associate Director of Online Marketing Department

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and manage various aspects of the complex and diverse online marketing projects that promote PETA India’s mission
  • Write and create animal rights–related blog posts, e-news, e-mail alerts, and social media content
  • Produce visually appealing and impactful content for our social media channels, website, and e-mail alerts
  • Create and implement marketing plans for PETA India’s campaigns to further increase website traffic and engagement with online petitions
  • Track and analyse web traffic to PETAIndia.com as well as the success of social media and other online campaigns and make strategic changes accordingly
  • Assist with developing content for paid social media campaigns
  • Stay abreast of the latest social and digital marketing trends and suggest ideas to promote PETA India campaigns online
  • Increase the engagement rate on PETA India’s social media platforms by responding to members of the public, the media, influencers, and celebrities
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • College degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferable
  • Online marketing experience
  • Proven interest in and excellent working knowledge of the internet
  • Knowledge of search engine optimisation, search engine marketing, and social media marketing tools
  • Extensive knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA India campaigns
  • Sophisticated understanding of and appreciation for creative work
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and, preferably, Hindi
  • Proven excellent project management, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to conduct and analyse marketing research
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Support for PETA India’s philosophy and the ability to advocate for the group’s positions on issues in a professional manner
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
