Contest Closed-Sweeten Your Holi Celebrations With PETA India’s Giveaway of Vegan Gujiyas From Mistaya

Celebrate Holi with a box of delectable gujiyas from Mistaya, a vegan bakery owned by dynamic duo Archita Anand and Sahil Agnihotri. Initially a lockdown project, this brand blossomed into a bustling haven of plant-based wonder, driven by pure passion. With an extensive array of customisable vegan, gluten-free, and naturally sustainable sweets, Mistaya has been at the forefront of crafting delightful guilt-free treats since 2020. Identifying a gap in the market for mouthwatering plant-based confectionery, they took it upon themselves to offer a rich range of celebration bakes, tea cakes and cupcakes, and traditional indulgences such as kaju katli, gujiyas, and motichoor and assorted laddoos. This Holi, PETA India is teaming up with Mistaya to give away five lip-smacking 500 gram boxes of vegan gujiya.

As the majority of Indians suffer from gastric ailments caused by cows’ milk and other health concerns and are increasingly aware of animal welfare and environmental issues, the Indian market for vegan (non-dairy) milks, ice creams, yoghurts, and other such products is projected to reach US$175 million by 2027. A Credit Suisse Research Institute survey revealed that Gen Z and millennial consumers in the country are more likely to buy sustainable items, which explains why a growing number of businesses in India are responding with vegan goods.

This contest is open to residents of India only. It will end on 18 March. Five winners will be selected at random to receive Mistaya’s 500 gram box of vegan gujiyas. The winners will be notified via e-mail and phone on 19 March.
