PETA India’s Tribute to Legendary Philanthropist Ratan Tata

Posted on by Erika Goyal

PETA India is deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Ratan Tata. Ratan ji’s love for animals and compassion was as famous as his business prowess and will always be remembered. His influence on the community – inspiring many to care for community dogs and to open their hearts and homes to them – is a testament to his enduring legacy. The Tata Trusts’ Small Animal Hospital in Mumbai, which is a result of his compassion, is already helping countless animals in need and is sure to become an ally for PETA India in our emergency response work.

Ratan ji’s love for animals also inspired other change. In 2022, PETA India issued a Cow-Friendly Future Award to Tata Motors for using modern vegan interiors in its AVINYA Concept car, setting a precedent for other car companies to follow as well as protecting animals and the environment.

Ratan ji may have left this Earth, but his legacy of compassion will live on and continue to inspire future generations. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and admirers around the globe. We share in your loss and offer our deepest condolences.

Ratan ji’s absence will be deeply felt. His legacy of compassion will continue to move us, and we pledge to honour it in all our future endeavours.

Rest in peace, from all of us at PETA India.
